Based in Melbourne, Shane used the ‘mundane’ of 263 days (yep, you read that correctly!) of lockdown across 2020 and 2021, to channel his ‘cardiac’ blood flow to his brain to explore a business ‘pivot’. With 30 years experience at the cardiac ‘frontline’; contracting his echo services to various radiology and cardiology practices around Melbourne, he decided (rather sensibly I might add!) to dabble in his ‘bread and butter’ and tap into what he saw has an opportunity to expose his own cardiac ‘acumen’ in the ECG electrode market. And so the C+UE ECG electrodes complete with two ‘world-firsts’ were created; ‘Zip lock’ bags AND a see-through window at the front of the packet to not only easily view electrode type but also the no of electrodes left in the packet.
Supply of quality blood pressure monitors (the all-in-one, portable upper arm model being used on a daily basis in his own stress echo services) followed the ECG electrodes and most recently C+UE have popped their hand up to act as distributors for various AED suppliers - Click here to learn what AEDs are and what they are used for. When we are talking mere minutes differentiating life and death in a situation of cardiac arrest there is no understating the crucial impact an AED can have in any household, business or sporting arena.
